Wednesday, September 12

Complimentary registration forms due no later than today.

Friday, September 21

Packet pick-up is available during normal business hours (daily 9 am – 5 pm) at the Astoria Warrenton Chamber of Commerce located at 111 West Marine Drive in Astoria.

Friday, September 28

Clam bucks are good all weekend of the event at participating Chamber businesses. We will include a complete list right here on the website beginning in August.

Saturday, September 29

9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Packet pick up is available all day the Saturday before the event at the Astoria Warrenton Chamber of Commerce at 111 West Marine Drive in Astoria.

NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION

6:00 a.m. – 7:00 a.m.

Packet pick up continues at the Port of Astoria prior to the event at the foot of Basin Street in Astoria. *Packet pickup is NOT AVAILABLE at the Port of Chinook.

7:00 a.m.

Shuttle buses begin departures from:
1) Port of Astoria: located in the large empty lot at the foot of Basin Street at the Port of Astoria. Parking is offered a couple of blocks away from the loading. Participants without a bib, included in your packet, WILL NOT be allowed on a shuttle bus.
2) Port of Chinook: turn off Water or Olympia Streets and follow signs for GCX parking. No packet pickup allowed at the Port of Chinook. Participants without a bib, included in your packet, WILL NOT be allowed on a shuttle bus.

7:00 a.m.

All participants with strollers (collapsible strollers only!) load shuttle bus in Astoria. We ask for your cooperation since we allow youngsters (8 and younger) to participate free of charge – yet they and their strollers often take up multiple seats on the shuttle buses. Thank you for your help!

7:00 a.m.

Live musical entertainment begins at Dismal Nitch!

7:30 a.m.

Shuttle buses begin at the Port of Chinook.

7:30 a.m.

All participants in Astoria MUST be in line for a shuttle bus. Participants will be counted and directed toward a specific bus at this point. Participants in line after this time ARE NOT guaranteed a shuttle bus ride to participate in the race.

8:00 a.m.

Last shuttle bus departs Astoria. (Participants in line after 7:30 am ARE NOT guaranteed a shuttle bus ride to participate in the race.)

8:00 a.m.

“Sweat bag” clothing drop-off begins at Dismal Nitch. You must write your bib number on the bag at the swat bag area. Items that are not picked up at the end of the event are your responsibility to recover.

8:15 a.m.

Last shuttle bus departs Port of Chinook.

8:15 a.m.

Group exercise and stretching begins at Dismal Nitch.

8:30 a.m.

One-lane of traffic is closed on the Astoria-Megler Bridge. Drivers will follow pilot car across the bridge until after 11:00 a.m. Drivers should expect 20-30 minutes delays.

9:00 a.m.

GCX ’11 begins!

9:00 a.m.

Live pep band entertainment begins at the finish line at the Port of Astoria!

11:00 a.m.

Both lanes of traffic will open on the Astoria-Megler Bridge. If you are unable to finish with the two hour time limit, you will be picked up by a “sweeper” bus.

11:00 a.m.

Awards ceremony will begin promptly at the finish line near the bleachers for top three finishers in all age/gender/overall categories.

11:00 a.m.

Shuttle bus service from the Port of Astoria (finish line) to the Port of Chinook parking lot.

11:45 a.m.

Last shuttle bus service from the Port of Astoria (finish line) to the Port of Chinook parking lot.
